Gerone, is located northeast of the autonomous region of Catalonia. The capital of the province is the counterpart city of Gerona. It offers two main attractions, its coast known as the Costa Brava and its mountains which form part of the Catalan Pyrenees, also known as Pyrenees Gerona.
The Costa Brava, 30 km. Girona, stretching from Blanes, 60 km north of Barcelona, and Portbou to the French border; beautiful stretch of coastline in Spain.
The Costa Brava is divided into two parts very different, the surrounding coastline and offers beaches all along the route and the most internal nature reserves and traces of history that may be of interest. Among the array of resorts in the south highlights Blanes, with sandy beaches surrounded by pine trees and a botanical garden has 5, the old town of Tossa de Mar, Sant Feliu de Guixols, beautiful coastal town located further north in Lloret de Mar , tourist centre with active nightlife.
